Farnborough Airshow advice

FORTY QUID for a ticket!?

why is it that expensive!?

Cos you're watching multi-million pound planes buzzing over ahead? Don't forget kids are free!

In my case a family of four costs £80, which IMHO is a pretty good deal given the nature of what's on show!

I watch multi million pound planes every day for free! :)

£80 is a rip off would rather hang around near the are and watch it for free!

Good call... But how many F35s do you see?

Well, maybe... I suspect you'll go out for a meal over the next couple of months and burn through £80 in 2-3 hours... Yet, £80 for two adults (& two kids) to watch an air show for 5-6 hours isn't good value?

I have terrible luck with airshows, I have since given up entirely. To date I've seen two MiGs collide, a chopper bite the dust and a parachutist down to his reserve chute. The Vulcan was cancelled at the last one I went to. :(

not been to Farnborough but i'm just back from teh Flying Legends show at Duxford, was ****** awesome. the F22 set off car alarms :-D
I was there too, great day. Shame the weather wasn't a bit better for taking photos, didn't spoil the spectacle though. Setting off car alarms always adds a certain extra something :D

Fairford '93 by any chance? My Dad ended up being incident commander for that one, incredibly lucky escapr for everyone that day.

It was, I was only about 5 so not my strongest memory but one of the earliest. I remember the chaos trying to get out more than anything else tbh.

I can see the airshow from my office and house which is cool, although traffic can be a nightmare around this time -.-

A colleague of mine has 3 Grandstand tickets for sale on Saturday, I think he paid £65 each, selling for £45 each. I can't make it but maybe someone here might be interested.

Was there with work yesterday.

No Eurofighter or F35 :( got to see the Super Hornet though which was pretty cool. Watching an A380 in the air is crazy too.
