This might be an incredibly retarded question, but what qualifies someone to become Chancellor of the Exchequer (I know they're actually 'picked'). Hammond has in the past been the Transport Minister- surely he can't have trained all his life to be an expert at both transportation and the economy?
He almost certainly wasn't "trained" in Transport, in the same way the person in charge of Education isn't trained in teaching (or education), the minister for Health may be lucky to have had a morning spent learning basic first aid.
The only qualification to be a minister seems to be getting asked and accepting it.

Amber Rudd is Home Secretary. Unbelievable...of everyone I watched through the referendum debates, nobody was as vile and repugnant in their attitudes and behaviour as Amber Rudd. Disgusted that she has been rewarded with such a position.

Imagine the ego on that power trip now.
I dont like her either. She truly believes being louder than everyone else is an acceptable debating tactic. Morgan or Greening would have been a better choice if it had to be a woman.
As a side note - I find it quite 'refreshing' to have a female prime minister.
Really don't know what to make of these choices so far - glad Gove is out.
