Brexit thread - what happens next

Oh god, UKIP post came up on my fb feed because someone liked it. Essentially posting that Euro is on the brink of collapse and Italy/Greece/Spain are in crisis and will crumble due to brexit. Apart from the obvious pride fluffing and eu hating, it sickens me that people are celebrating in comments that economies to which we are tied closely to are on the way out. Its like they treat the EU as enemies and the misfortune and increased poverty in parts of the EU is just a sign of us winning. What we are winning, i dont know. We are certainly not winning anything economically or in the foreign relations front.

This annoys me also. Not content with dragging the UK out of the EU, they want to see the rest of the member states crash and burn as some sort of strange vindication.

Absolutely, if anything we should be showing our support as although we may want to leave the EU (As a country) we still support the member states. There's nothing to be achieved by insulting other countries other than making negotiations harder in the future

Military coup in Turkey. That's going to creat some mess for the EU now. Wonder what will happen with all the migrants that were being sent back to Turkey?

Aside from the Turkey attempted coup, what is next for us? The hogs at Westminster taking an age to remove themselves from the trough, this will carry on until we are actually still part of the EU. None of the crooks wanted it, and those who did just wanted power, now we are left with a void which has been filled with people nobody voted for. Personally, if you are an MP and voted stay, you should not have anything to do with the government, the people have spoken, you nailed your colours, now deal with the outcome. I can see if we don't regain some of our sovereignty, then there will be significantly larger marches in London than the 'remain' crew decided to muster. As a chap from the NE said, 'you see them marching here in London, but you won't see any of it anywhere else, Newcastle, Hull, Liverpool, Manchester' etc..

People voted in their droves because they are sick of politicians, but at least here you CAN get rid of them, unlike the un-elected muppets making regulations in Brussels.

This vote was one in the eye for the politicians who nobody has faith in, of course they all wanted to stay in, mainly because they are all multi-millionaires and have no clem about the average joe bloggs and family who live in the UK. People are fed up with the UK being turned into a cess-pit, where we accept everyone, regardless of whether they offer a skill to the country or even work..

Yeah a vote with Gove and Boris? With this anti establishment you are really spoiling us...

So many things wrong with this post I'm not really sure where to start.

But we've replaced said politicians.... With more politicians so I'm not really sure what your point is.

I think we'll likely get smaller government outside of EU. I'd tend to agree they all are as bad as each other but if theres a bit less dross then great.
Brexit isnt just about UK, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I still think the EU is leaving UK not vice versa :p
All those arguments stating absolutes when its really an entire mix of factors. Outside of UK I think the finance situation worldwide is kinda unique in history and is set to go somewhere nobody anticipates in any case

This annoys me also. Not content with dragging the UK out of the EU, they want to see the rest of the member states crash and burn as some sort of strange vindication.

I also find this very strange.

The same vindictiveness seems to exist nationally. Those from some areas voting leave not necessarily because it will bring them direct benefit, but resentment towards wealthy areas e.g. the city, London in general, bankers, people with expensive homes.

Anyhow, at least we can all unite now the 48.1% have been told to shut-up, accept democracy, and sit by whilst Boris and DD flush all their hard work down the toilet.

Not sure Scotland will ever agree anything less than EEA. Now they have power in the decision. This is a lot more towards a remain position.

The same as Remainers revelling in every tiny piece of negative news. I imagine they'd rather be right than see the UK do well outside of the EU.

I suppose it's like French politicians wanting to see us punished for choosing to leave the EU, despite all the help and support we've given France over the past century

That was the only realistic option available, regardless of Scotland. Scotland now offers the excuse it needs to not to go nuclear.

The benefits of leaving the EU, only to join the EEA are minimal, and the costs could be quite significant over time.

It certainly doesn't address the issues that was highest on most leavers agenda, which is immigration.

Fully agree really confuses me as well

Cant understand why so many remain voters want the end of the Britain and go about belittling us and calling us little britain and we are nothing without the EU. Its like they want us to suffer.

I don't know why people are thinking we'll join the EEA, David Davis has already said the EU will have to accept our border controls in any deal
