So, My best friend lives in Sweden and I also have aspirations to emigrate there.

I have numerous anxieties that make getting on a plane almost impossible.

Does anyone know of any sites or services that would allow me to basically hitchhike my way to Stockholm? I do have the journey already planned out which involves several trains through numerous European countries. Just wondered whether there would be a somewhat more straightforward way of doing it.

Cheers :)

I had a friend who moved there with his Swedish girlfriend, he said it was a ridiculously long process to get legal work over there. I don't know if that was just him being lazy or that's actually fact. Just to let you know bud..

Oh really? That could well be true as he's not yet a homeowner over there. Managed to find work reasonably easy though.

There are still ferries to Denmark, and then you can take the train. Heck, you could even apply to jump on the freight ferry from Immingham to Norway and then get the train from there. Lots of ways to get there without flying.

There is also the 'man the **** up' option ;)

I'd go see your GP. They will be able to give you some tablets to keep you nice and chilled out for a plane journey.

They don't seem overly willing to prescribe me Ketamine.

In all seriousness, I've tried everything. Even Hypno which did nothing at all.

I think it's because it's a combination of a number of things, vertigo being the big one.

Some friends here regularly use these lift-sharing (Mitfahren) things. Gf went up to Amsterdam with friend on one and apart from the bloke being a bit odd it was fine, no casualties.

Think blablacar was the one people use most.
