Getting a 'lift' from the UK to Stockholm?

I'd go see your GP. They will be able to give you some tablets to keep you nice and chilled out for a plane journey.

This , my Sister is aerophobic when i took her to Las Vegas a few years ago she was fine , went a bit doolally when she had a vodka on the flight though (but that was my fault telling her she would be fine).

Valium actually got me over my fear of flying.

I had to fly every week for work for years, and I'd always get sweaty palms/shakes/be unable to sleep. I'd dread it. The only thing that helped was several beers.

Then once, on a flight to India, I took some valium and was totally calm. Just the experience of being totally calm on a plane helped me to be calm in future (without the valium).

I think Valium's about the only thing I haven't tried... I'll speak to my Doc about it. Cheers!

if you've got the free time to do it then hitchhiking/ride sharing your way there and staying in hostels along the way could be quite a fun trip...

otherwsie I'd looking into getting a ferry or train or the happy pills + flight as suggested above

I'd love to turn it into something like that but I can only get so much time off work and I'd like to spend the bulk of it with my buddy.

I think the effects of Valium/diazepam are pretty highly exaggerated. For me it just removed anxiety and made me feel a bit sleepy. I think you'd probably have to take a pretty high dose to be "off your face".

Everyone has different tolerance levels to benzos. A dose that can send one person to the clouds in magic unicorn ****oo-land can just make the next person feel a bit detached and sleepy.

*edit - why is the word c u c k o o starred out?
