Glad to see Arsenal fans finally seeing the real Welbeck - nice enough person / player, but really not that great in the long run

I don't think any Arsenal fan really thought he was a top class striker or considered him good enough to be a starter up front. It's just Giroud was so shockingly bad for long periods that Welbeck coming in was actually really positive (ok only for a couple of games). He just doesn't score enough.

I've always thought that Welly isn't best as a striker, he missed so many chances for Utd, sure he scored a few but if he was better at finishing he would be quite a player.

I was actually genuinely amazed by how many pundits and former players were saying it was a mistake we sold Welbeck. He clearly never had remotely the quality for top half of the league.

I'm not convinced that Pogba is our saviour, we don't have an out-and-out RM do we? Or is that where we're going to play Micky Targaryen?

We're also still short of good defenders.

Obviously he had a couple great seasons at Juve, he's extremely marketable, but from what I've seen in watching his games (not just his highlights), he still has a long way to come.
The game against Germany he was fantastic, showed his power in midfield, all of what you can expect for such a big amount. However the first two games he was a ghost, so much so that they benched him.
Still not proven product to justify the cost being thrown around.

Looks like Steve Walsh will be joining Everton from Leicester as director of football - both clubs have agreed a deal. Disappointing having only just signed a new contract with us, but sounds like he has family up there.

He's been given all the credit for our recent signings, so will be interesting to see how things go for both clubs in that respect.

No thanks, keep Lucas. Rather have a consistently good player than a potentially great player that blows hot and cold.

Not that I agree anyway but I'd question whether Lucas has been consistently good for a while now. He's no longer physically capable of playing how Klopp wants either.

Fulham confirmed two signings today - David Button from Brentford and Scott Malone from Cardiff - with Jazz Richards going in a straight swap with Malone. Some very shrewd signings so far.

Still think McCormack will leave - so be interested to see what happens when we start spending money.
