You'll also notice nowhere in that post you complained about did I suggest we should invite more. In fact I specifically mentioned providing money to help.

Perhaps a worldwide refugee program where real money is actually given to help people. The billions needed wouldn't please a lot of people but it would help. If you can increase the conditions in refugee camps/even out the refugee load then perhaps people won't travel thousands of miles at their own fruition to get to somewhere they can get a roof over their hear, get a job and not have to sell their children into marriage just to get them enough food to survive.

That said a controlled system could work as well. Canada recently took in 30,000 Syrian refugees as an example (although to really help more countries would need to take in a few more than that. At the moment there are very few western countries taking in refugees in any real amount. Germany has taken the brunt of it.

Then have the cheek to make the remark to link me to the BNP. Well done there. Use the ******* bingo method when things don't go to plan by calling people things you think they will be offended by drawing attention to the instance.

You will note this racist nazi scumbag said I think we should accept refugees and that primarily they should be women and children 12 and under. But that of course wouldn't go with your narrative. Yes, I was actually because I've actually linked the exact headline in this thread and it met the description. I am not stupid enough to make a sweeping statement like that unless I've already checked it is the case in another tab. They soon changed the whole presentation of the articles when the painted flag got found. In fairness, in their defence it's never right to jump to conclusions. However, their agenda is quite clear.

I didn't link you at all. I was pointing out your idea of left and right is very different to the standard definition...

I'm making a sweeping statement because I don't know what the solution is, however the point of the post was that we as rich nations need to do more, and isolated incidents like these should not sway the narrative.

This is an isolated incident, as much as people want to slant it.

We need to be making it so refugees don't need to travel thousands of miles to get to some form of safety, then perhaps refugees that get here won't be mostly strong, fit, young men.

Was that the original article? Which reads exactly the same as the article in the OP, when there was little information available other than the incident happened. Excuse me for not blaming the newspapers for providing information before it was released.

No. It was after that when the information was that he was a teenage asylum seeker who allegedly shout Islamic propaganda. They focused solely on teenager pushed it to the bottom. It was only when the flag was discovered that they changed their headlines.

It's quite interesting to see how the papers present their articles over time there is an awful lot of spin involved in interpreting the facts as they come in.

that image is pretty misleading anyhow, lots of women dont fully cover up in Kabul right now, while plenty did cover up in Helmand etc even when those girls are cutting about in skirts and shirts in Kabul '72, so its pretty selective in its comparisons

The north africans who are about 97% likely to have their applications rejected? Are those the refugees you are talking about?

I'm more interested in the real refugees tbh.

Either way, if we add those in and assume they all resided in Germany (many didn't, we had a whole thread on this). That that represents a whole 0.1% of the asylum seekers in Germany. I'd call that fairly isolated.

Another country that went down the pan was Lebanon. It used to be predominantly Christian but now has an islamic terrorist organisation (Hezbollah) with seats in parliament.
