Strong post. Much win.
Also true, no ? Though I wish it wasn't.

That is kind of the sad thing, despite all "Western meddling" the middle east was ticking along just fine in the early 70's
Civilisation was doing just fine.
And then, all of a sudden, the Mad Muzzies took over!
How and why did that happen???![]()

To this day, not a week goes by that Islamic fundamentalists do not attempt to kill Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists explicitly in the name of Allah.

Looking at your location, posting history and how quickly you seem to get extremely irritated to the point of using yellow text, I'd lay off the steroids if I were you.
I didn't link you at all. I was pointing out your idea of left and right is very different to the standard definition...
I'm making a sweeping statement because I don't know what the solution is, however the point of the post was that we as rich nations need to do more, and isolated incidents like these should not sway the narrative.
This is an isolated incident, as much as people want to slant it.
We need to be making it so refugees don't need to travel thousands of miles to get to some form of safety, then perhaps refugees that get here won't be mostly strong, fit, young men.
The mad muzzies as you eloquently put it took over because that’s what the United States wanted. Let’s not forget at that time the enemy was communism and they did everything in their power to get rid of a secular government that was pro Soviet Union.

The north africans who are about 97% likely to have their applications rejected? Are those the refugees you are talking about?
I'm more interested in the real refugees tbh.
Either way, if we add those in and assume they all resided in Germany (many didn't, we had a whole thread on this). That that represents a whole 0.1% of the asylum seekers in Germany. I'd call that fairly isolated.
The US armed people to the teeth that we would consider terrorists today to fight against the most progressive government in that region, but I’m guessing the most powerful country in the world who were doing everything in their power to stop the spread of communism have nothing to do it.lol
no
a secular communist government that put itself in power with multiple coups, political murders, KGB interference and USSR invasions that lead to civil war (and that's all before the USA got involved!) - but no its all the USA's fault![]()

Afghanistan was traveling in a modern direction before it was taken over in a coup by a small group of communists who then back stabbed and murdered each other to get to the top until the USSR had to intervene to clean up their own mess, if anything Americas failing was dropping support once the Russians left
Why are people still talking about Afghanistan? It looks like this attacker is from Pakistan and only claimed to be from Afghan to boost his asylum claim. It would surprise me if it turns out he's considerably older than 17 as well. We are so, so dumb.

A teenager who injured five people with an axe and a knife in Bavaria in the name of Islamic State was probably from Pakistan and pretended to be Afghan to win refugee status, German authorities said yesterday.
A video released by Isis purportedly featured the 17-year-old, who was shot dead by police following his attack on a Chinese family on a train and a woman walking her dog nearby on Monday night.
Analysts on ZDF television said the youth used phrases of a Pashto dialect spoken in Pakistan and not Afghanistan in the video and that his accent was also Pakistani. A Pakistani document was also found in his room.
The attack was the first by an Isis jihadist on German soil and left three of the victims in intensive care with life-threatening injuries.
In the video, the young man brandished a knife and said: “You can see I have lived in your own home and have planned to behead you in your own territory.”
Mohammed Riyadh, the name used by the attacker in the video, did not match the name under which he registered in Germany, Riaz Kahn.
German authorities said they had authenticated the video which was released after a hand-painted Isis flag was found in his room with a foster family. Police also found a farewell letter he apparently left for his father in which he said the world’s Muslims “must defend themselves”.
“Now pray for me that I can take revenge on non-believers, pray for me that I can get to heaven,” the note said.
Four members of the Yau family, tourists from Hong Kong, were injured in his attack on a regional train bound for Würzburg, with two of them in intensive care. He went into the toilet and emerged brandishing an axe and a knife, prosecutors said.
The elder daughter of the family, who was not with the group, named only as Sylvia aged 30, told local media that her parents had tried to defend her sister’s boyfriend when the teenager attacked him.
“Originally the assailant was attacking my sister’s boyfriend and when my mother and father saw, they went up to get in the way and then they got injured,” she told the Hong Kong-based Apple Daily newspaper.
Her father, aged 60, and sister’s boyfriend, aged 31, received serious head injuries. Her sister Tracy, 26, and mother, 58, were less seriously injured, while her 17-year-old brother was unharmed.
“My father-in-law’s friends received pictures and said they were having lots of fun,” said Sylvia’s husband, who was not named.
Prosecutors said he shouted Allahu Akbar (God is greatest) three times as he made his way through the carriage.
The teenager jumped off the train when a passenger activated the emergency brake and as he tried to evade police he attacked a woman walking her dog along the river. Prosecutors said he shouted “I will get you, you bitch” as he brought the axe down twice on the head of the victim, who is now fighting for her life.
Police officers shot the attacker dead when they confronted him and he turned on them, local officials said.
Authorities said the teenager had arrived in Germany as an unaccompanied minor in June 2015 and was registered in the border city of Passau. He was placed in a shelter in the Würzburg region in March before being settled with a foster family.
migrants pretending to be refugees and flooding into German... who'd have thought it?
