Budget Android Phone - c.£150

Thank jebus I stumbled across this thread, I'm in the market for a new phone at around the £150 mark. I like the look of the Note 3 Pro as linked previously, but I'm a noob and completely out of the loop when it comes to phones in general. All I ask is for a half-decent camera, good battery life and a large screen with crisp colours. The rest of it specs-wise isn't too important, it'll be predominantly for light general use.

From what I can gather the Note 3 Pro has some mash-up of Android.... for someone who wouldn't want to mess about too much with it, could that be a problem?

Basically, tell me about these things like I'm a 6-year old.

I bought a redmi note 3 pro and it is excellent and cost me a smidge over £150 from top-one on alieexpress.
Plus points- immense battery life ( 2 days easy), beautiful display, very smooth operation (not had any lag ever), excellent build quality.
Negative points- no band 20 lte which means no 4G internet on vodafone or 02 (3G works fine) and the camera takes only soso pictures indoors (outdoors pics look good to me).
Hope this helps.

It does, thank you. I can live with no 4G and indoor pictures aren't much of an issue for me.

So what's the difference between getting one from this top-one person and say, one from honorbuy as linked in a post above?

Not sure other than guaranteed no customs to pay and a pre-installed official global rom that will receive regular OTA updates....
Others on here will be better informed tho....

I wouldn't personally trust anyone else installing stuff on a phone i'm about to purchase. they could literally side load anything onto it!

I'd buy it from a seller that sells them sealed, and sort the global rom out later yourself (its easy)

The global rom flashing looks within reach of my limited technical knowledge. I presume it will still OTA updates even when flashed? I also presume that buying from Honorbuy ensures the phone comes sealed?

it will still OTA. im pretty sure of that.

i've never purchased from honorbuy personally. but again, pretty sure they sell them sealed. i'd reject it and send it back if it wasnt :p
