Police in Brussels have surrounded a man who was behaving suspiciously and wearing "a long coat with protruding wires", Belgian media report.

A large police operation is underway near Place de la Monnaie in the centre of the Belgian capital.

The bomb squad is present. Shops nearby have been evacuated and several streets are closed.

Police say that they have the suspect "under control" but have not yet arrested him.

Popcorn at the ready...

Where's the CSI image software when you need it?[/QUOTE]

I've played enough CS:GO to know that in about three seconds a drunk Russian will scream around the corner with a sniper rifle and it's game over.

Seems a bit strange wearing a coat like that in this temperature

Although I saw a guy wearing a thick coat, and his hood up yesterday, when it was 35C+... People are weird I guess :p

I remember being in Japan, it was 27C+ and I was in shorts/tshirt, sat in balls soup, and a load of Japanese school girls went past, all wearing thick coats.:confused::confused:

He looks pretty white, so it's probably a false alarm. Either that or the poor guy is mentally ill.

I'm conflicted on this one, I'm going for 40% Muslamic Terrorlolist and 60% confused Asperger Pokémon hunter.

I hear a trained negotiator has been dispatched.
