Just hearing about this.

"Police said he was approached by two men near the married quarters at RAF Marham in Norfolk, in the Burnthouse Drove and Ladywood Road area, on Wednesday.
They threatened him with a knife before making off in a dark coloured car, police said."

Middle eastern appearance, man hunt under way, this could turn nasty, if they are terrorist's they could possibly attack anyone now because they know they are being hunted down.

Although this is a terrible thng to happen it's not entirely suprising as we did invade their country which many high legal bods seem to think was illegal. And also left the country high and dry for extreme sectarianism violence to foster.

And which country would that be? Have you checked their passports?

BBC news and others saying he fought them off, i doubt he talked his way out.

Unless he really was Chuck Norris you don't fight off 2 guys with knives and walk away totally unharmed, they were probably spooked by something else rather than him giving them a kicking and them running away with their tails between their legs.

To be honest i am not really arsed how he got away, are you? I'm just glad he did and i am more worried about what the two get upto next.

I'm glad a member of our armed forces wasn't hurt... I was simply challenging the information you gave because neither of your sources stated he "fought" them off :p

I'm not bothered either but the thread reads very much like a daily mail headline, even the police are saying there is no evidence this is a terrorist incident and are keeping an open mind.

It's more likely to be a wrong place, wrong time mugging but because he's a service member the press have just jumped onto the terrorist angle.

I posted what Simon McCoy (presenter)said in the breaking news at around 2pm.

Ask the BBC why they haven't put it on their website as well as the news channel.

.....because it's a load of media hype and the presenter is talking out of his arse? ;)

Most perpetrators stop because they are caught or spotted. Given the base holds approx. 10,000 people then it's just as likely that they pulled up to speak to the man with intent to mug/kidnap him but were spotted.

Chuck Norris single handedly fought off 2 knife wielding Iraqis who were going to kidnap and torture him in the name of Allah and Islam as payback for our invasion of Iraq.

Sound about right?
