I'm looking to get the Three Fan Bundle of EK Vardar either F2 or F3 120mm to replace my heatsink and case fans as they are starting to fail with motor noise after 4 years of use however in the item description they are stated as "high static pressure cooling fan" so I'm wondering is it ideal to use them as case fans?

Also, the F2 (1450RPM) and F3 (1850RPM) bundles are the same price so if I get the F3 and use my motherboard BIOS to set them max at around 1500-1600RPM, they are the same as F2 but just different fan speed?

i wouldn't use them as case fans tbh and 1600 rpm would be insanely high for them, that's like gpu at full load kinda rpm's. i have the f5's on my rads and they never go above 1700-1800 while 4k gaming. for idle you want 700-800 really unless you dont mind a fair bit of noise.

they're a performance fan so if you use them for something they aren't meant to do you wont get the performance but you'll still get the noise. silent would be like 400-500 rpm i would guess

I was going to have them at the lowest RPM for idle and max at around 1500-1600RPM if I went with the F3 but I'm still deciding whether to go for F2 or F3 considering they both the same price.
