Shots Fired in Munich Shopping Centre

Tell that to the criminals who don't follow the law...
It's OK I understand many people have a fear about firearms but just think about them poor people who been killed and could not defend themselves :(

Not a fear of guns just the prats that have access to them.

There's an awful lot of people one comment away from losing their grip on reality the last thing I want to do is arm them. All the health/criminal checks in the world won't prevent that.

The problem with giving people more means to defend themselves is the attackers tend to source greater means of attacking. It'll be an arms race.

At the moment worst case realistically is a knife attack they're damn hard to defend against but you have a greater chance of survival than if the attacker had a gun. Even if you had a gun to "defend" yourself then all its done is escalate the conflict. You cannot defend against a gun best case scenario someone definitly ends up dead worst case some poor bugger walking by gets hit as well.

This is completely ignoring the added ability for people who'd want to commit atrocities like we're seeing access to such weapons. We don't have such an issue here and I'd hate to create one on the basis of defending oneself.

Just saying what is starting go out over the airwaves. Jeez people were quick to start calling this a far right and didn't face this lol

I don't know ? all the assumptions (including my own) were that it was Islamic, but there hasn't been a shred of official evidence that anything remotely Islamic was involved, instead what appears to be a white German man having a bit of a rant about foreigners whilst firing... so it doesn't look like Islamic terror at this time?

No but according to CNN a witness called in. Don't shoot the messenger.

Unless it comes from Munich police themselves, you're perpetuating misinformation. But I doubt you're bothered.

Well when I wake up tomorrow we will have an answer hopefully. And no i won't lose sleep over posting what is being reported but not officially confirmed. After all with the Nice attacks lot of misinformation there about a truck doing all the damage and not a person driving it.

Some german speaking to Stephen Nolan on Radio 5 live suggesting a possible 11 dead and 250 injured, but it is speculation only.

Sorry I don't know how to edit to place my questions under your comments if I can do that?

More means to defend themselves?
At the moment we are not allowed to have anything ready to defend ourselves and I think that not right even pepper spray should be allowed.

You cannot defend against a gun.
yes you can if you had a gun also.

keeping it peaceful just my views is all and I know its not everyone likes :)

Although I don't rule out a far right attack remember the Germans tried to first suppress news of the Cologne sex attacks and then the ethnicities of the perpetrators on NYE to avoid inflaming anti-immigrant feelings.

We need evidence not spectulation.
