If you can help me with an issue I have, please reply here. I would rather PM you the issue rather than post it here, thanks.

You don't get free advice that way in GD, not without the rest of us knowing the juicy details ;)

Anyway, it would help if you narrowed the field down a bit, the law is a vast area and 'legal expert' is a bit vague....

It might help if you post what aspect of the law you need help with.

Are you trying to get planing permission, or have you just killed a hooker?

Indeed. If you want legal advice without posting it publicly, then see a lawyer.

Never wanted to post this, because I am ****ed off and never wanted to seem like I was bashing OCUK, ill choose my words carefully.

What can I do?

Purchased a card of overclockers on the 4th Jan 2014, the card has a 2 year warranty with Gainward.

Had the first issue on the 9th May 2014, sent it back via the RMA, received it back a week or two later. Moving onto 24th Sep 2015, exact same issue appeared, knew straight away what is was.. Had to send back the card, had it RMA'd except this time I received the card back days later and it appeared to be a card they just had sent back from another RMA, so I was given somebody else's RMA'd card.. Forwarding onto this month, the issue has once again popped up, so in total its 3 cards in the span of 2 years + a few months having the exact same issue.

I stand without a pot to **** in because I am not covered under the cards 2 year warranty, despite only having it in my hands for 9 months and 25 days. So £400 down the drain, on a card thats broken on me 3 times since the date of purchase.

Is there absolutely anything I can do? I respect this is not exactly OCUK's fault directly, but GPU's that run you £400 dont last 2 years surely?

You say you're not covered under the warranty, but have you actually spoken to the manufacturer and explained the circumstances? The legalities are somewhat moot until you know the manufacturer is not going to resolve the issue.

It doesn't sound like you've actually contacted anyone to see where you stand, that's your first course of action.

Not sure if any of you have ever tried to contact Gainward,

The last time I attempted to contact Gainward (they dont own phones according to their website) I had a delivery system failure on their only email, so that was wonderful.

Doubt OCUK are going to offer me anything, I presume they dont have to anyway.

Bank cant do nothing about it, so I would have to contact Gainward directly I presume, after recent attempts thats not going to be very helpful, plus OCUK really dont want to give me absolutely any advice on what I can do, so it looks like a self repair or throw it out the window is the only options.

Worth contacting OCUK - they might willingly be able to help.

Under sale of goods act, goods must be of 'satisfactory quality', which includes durability. Having to get the thing fixed every few months doesn't suggest it's of 'satisfactory' durability, regardless of warranty.

Already have done my friend, without 'airing dirty laundry' I mean I have nobody else to ask for advice. They have simple stated, its out of warranty, nothing we can do.. Bye have a great time.

Recurring issue, its literally the exact same issue with each card. Always been replaced at no cost of myself other than shipping and as far as I am aware if it turns out to not be faulty I have to pay for it to be sent back, so I presumed it was the card.

3rd time in 2 years + a few months. 2nd and third was a fault with a totally different card I was sent which even that was sent to me after it had been repaired.
