Think it's time to walk away, if Juve are contracted to pay the agent then they are liable to pay it

What we need is for pogba to kick off about playing for Juve anymore

Well yes obviously however...they are well within their right to charge what they want. If they want the agents fees paid then Pogbas price goes up.

This is so common with transfers...

United should walk away, maybe the fee would be good in a bidding war with Madrid but they aren't. Madness to have their pants pulled down so much.

THERE IS MOVEMENT FROM ARSENAL :D
Lyon have turned down a 35m offer for Lacazette :(
Hopefully this is just the beginning of the negotiating.

Anyone else here that Per is out for 5months or so? Definitely need a top CB signed now.

In addition to Kos ;)

I, personally, do not consider him to be quite part of that group of European elite footballers. You know, being first or second choice in a European side. In fact, I do not think there are many in England.

I will happily admit I think he is a good defender, but he has had problems with his form in the past, Arsenal need a superior centre back to play each weak along side Kos. Prior to last season I would have said; Umtiti or Zouma who have looked excellent for a while.

I think Arsenal's biggest problem is something I, sort of, quite admire in Wenger which is his loyalty. He is far too reluctant to sign players (even obvious improvements at times) because I think he firmly believes that money does not solve problems (I again, partially agree) and that coaching what he has (which he believes is good enough) is the best way to go.

Arsenal could have chucked in a decent offer for either Zouma or Umtiti, or even Sakho, I know it is said in hindsight, but they are hardly 'unknown' young players.

Didnt they reject a similar bid from west ham? Lyon have taken the bid public aswell which is odd.

Either showing the player he is wanted, keeping the fans happy that they are rejecting bids for their better players... Or it is a very public message that 'not at that price' to Arsenal.

can see Lacazette going for £50mil in this market, would be a good signing for Arsenal.

France may of won the Euro's if they had good strikers like him playing.

We'll offer them 36 in a couple of weeks.

We needed a top CB regardless of Per being fit. If we can get Lacazette and he turns out good for us then that 1 CB could mean the difference between challenging or not.

Giroud is not good enough, France had better options up front in my opinion even without Benzema.

Yeah pretty much agree, but he's certainly up there as one of the main CB's in England....as you say, there really is not that many around...Pepe, Hummels, Boatang etc
I'm more than happy with Kos and our defence from last season (2nd least amount of goals conceded) however this year, I definitely feel the need even more to bring in another partner for Kos (and cover).

Lacazette, scored what 20-22+ goals last season in 30 games. I think with Ozil, Sanchez, Santi etc and our creative midfield, you get the right striker and he'll easily have 25+ goals.
50m is fine for a decent 25 yr old striker.

Beyond how mental the phrase, '50,000,000 £ is fine for a 25 year old striker' sounds :p, I agree in principle given how inflated this transfer market has become.

Arsenal have a good spine to the first team; they need to improve in the centre back position, need a long term replacement for Cech (Jack Butland screams out), a better striker up top.

There is also considerable deadwood at the club; but due to Wengers loyalty they will inevitably stay, similarly there are a lot of the 'elite' clubs in this country that have a huge amount of deadwood.

the state of big clubs squad is what is causing such issue on the European stage, the actual quality of the squads of the big teams in this country has really gone down in the last 5 years or so. Far too many average talents getting paid for sitting on their bums on benches or turning out in the reserves.

No way Juventus pay that fee for Higuain without the thought that Pogba is going. I'm not saying this guarantees it, at least in this transfer window, but it certainly seems likely.
