AMD Announces RX 470 and RX 460 cards

That was a mistake, and the rumour sites have retracted this (see Videocardz).

What we think now is that the 470 arrives on the 4th, and the 460 some time later...

Also the 470 is the ref version, no info about non-ref cards. Could drag on like the 480 non-refs...
 
I heard the broke even for a quarter or are expected to, which isn't great but better than making a loss lol

Looking at the perf/watt scale of the 480, it bodes well for laptop and lower end parts, should get some stonking 35-65w chips. Trouble is, NV do too, so it's down to pricing yet again, which is what AMD don't want.

A respin or two will likely knock some power usage down, it's a new process and GloFo are typically rubbish at them :p

Your eyes must be lying to you.

We were told by certain posters here that nVidia were 6 months behind AMD...

Anyway, hopefully there will be custom 470s on the 4th as well if there are custom 460s on the 8th.

The last thing AMD needs is to make their customers wait some more. Tired of waiting now.
