Hey guys,

Just having a go at that new game that's just come out, We Happy Few - looks awesome. I'm running a prettttty old setup now but it doesn't normally get issues.

Basically I'm running a 6970 and a 6950 (unlocked shaders to 6970) in crossfire. When I first launched the game the game profile on CCC was set to default and on ultra I barely scraped 25 fps.

I reconfigured the game profile to run AFR mode, my framerate jumped up to and locked at 60fps with Vsync on and it runs beautifully on ultra, however as soon as I progress in the game and go outside for the first time, there's this maddening flickering and weird artifacting, the cards don't seem to be overheating and as soon as I go back inside the flickering stops and my frames are fine.

Does anyone perhaps know what could be causing this issue? I've read before that AFR sometimes freaks out with various AA settings, (using the highest setting in game, but makes no difference to flickering).

Before anyone says, I would love to get a new single card and get rid of the crossfire issues but I can't afford it haha!

Thanks in advance!

Jamie

Game is still in Development Steam Early Access.. So it really isnt a released game like you say! You just paid your way into the development cycle and help fund the game.

Because of this you will run into these type of issue, one AMD will not have worked on a Crossfire profile with the exception the game gets a lot of attention. You then have the normal issue of a game that isnt finished type of bugs and glitches.

The only thing you can do is report Feedback to the devs on steam community page.

Oh yeah.. I completely forgot about that bit.. so more than likely this is just down to the fact it's not a polished game yet?

AFR freaks out in loads of games, i used to try force in games with no profile and you do get mad flickering.

Have you tries 1x1 instead of AFR?

Very much so yeah, AMD might work with a Crossfire profile if the game becomes popular or if you know the engine its built on you can try forcing another profile from another game on the same engine this has helped me a lot in the past.

Other than that you just after put up with it. Steam Early Access can be a pain but at the same time a great opportunity to get into a game while its going through its development stages. Its now where your Feedback matter most!

Very true, I'll have a mess around with settings - curious to see if anyone is experiencing this issue without crossfire!
