How about this, Arsenal could sign Lacazette and convert him to a holding midfielder if you like? Seriously you're clutching at straws here, any professional player should be able to adapt but you don't sign someone and decide to mould him into another play style, especially at 29.

I don't know how many times I'm going to have to say it before you understand, Vardy doesn't suit Arsenal. Why are you even keeping this up? He rejected Arsenal anyway and they're not signing him.

Just because you have pace it doesn't mean you can pass either. Your comment/comparrison to Barca's front 3 is truly mind boggling

Vardy has never showed anything to suggest that he can be anything other than a striker that plays on the last defender. He was nothing more than a journeyman until last season.

As for Giroud. He's a focal point that Arsenal can play off and around. Something Vardy has never shown he's capable of doing.

The comparison is not mind boggling at all, not in the context of what i was using it, i wasn't comparing footballing ability was i? That's you're leap you've put on it. I was comparing pace with a circulation system. Last season, there plenty of times we saw Vardy collect the ball out wide, drop deep and play a one two, you just didn't see it often because of the nature of Leicesters set up. I understand Giroud is focal point, why can't a small agile striker be a focal point exactly? you don't have to lump it up to it. David Villa was a great focal point under Pep when they were at Barca together.

Tell Mascharano that, yea?

You do realise Leicester played 442 last season with Okazaki up front with Vardy right?

Christ, you're bringing Barcelona players into it again.

You don't sign players who had an inform season and decide to totally go against what he did last season. Take Higuain for example, he tore Serie A apart last season, it's like deciding he'd be better off playing on the wing.

Gianluca Di Marzio @DiMarzio
In two days @juventusfc and @ManUtd should close the deal for @paulpogba: talks ongoing between clubs

Finally, a time frame! Possibly a medical in the US. Talk is that we've agreed to pay Raiola...

Martial was signed as a striker and can play on the wing area. Different players can adapt to different positions, that obvious. I wouldn't want to tell Vardy to stop what he's done so well but i would try to add to his game.

You're bringing totally different players into the equation. Martial is at the other end of his career and he was pushed onto the wing because Depay was so bad.

Huh? i gave you Mascharano as well but you didn't reply to that.

I didn't make any leap. Your post was mind boggling because there was absolutely no context to it. You just randomly threw Messi & Suarez into your post without any explanation.

You're asking generic questions. Small, agile players can be focal points. Although not small Suarez is no giant either and he's as good as they come. Vardy isn't Suarez though and I'm not just talking about ability. Vardy does not have the qualities to play like Suarez or Giroud.

Vardy plays on the break. He hangs on the last defender's shoulder and looks for balls over the top. He doesn't have the technical ability to drop deep and link play nor does he have the physicallity or ability to hold the ball up and bring players in to play that way either.

I can only think Arsene wanted him as a plan B. Somebody to come off the bench when the game's stretched or to play alongside Giroud when they're chasing games.

You were just naming more Barcelona players. So why are you mentioning Mascherano? A defensive midfielder who can play CB? How shocking! Barcelona had literally no cbs at the time when he filled in.

Do you wanna pick up David "I'll play anywhere boss" Alaba too?

There was a context though, it was about pace and tactical set up. Not about overall footballing ability and whether who is a better player.

I think Vardy has more to offer, he's adapted so well in his past, moving from league to league and getting better and better that i think he could add a more to his game if was playing at a club like Arsenal.

haha... what are you talking about? You're going round in circles. Delph has been playing left back for City under Pep. I think Vardy could add more to his game, it's as simple as that. You don't think that, fine.

Come again? You're the one who was picking up players who play for Barca saying they can adapt, like I wonder why? It's not just me you're confusing in this thread with your lack of knowledge.

What? You said Vardy doesn't suit Arsenal becuase of the way he plays for Leicester, i think he can add more to his game whilst still holding onto the core ability he's shown over the last season. You don't think he can add anything to his game, i disagree with that.
