If the UK leaves, one of the largest net contributors is no longer paying in, so subsidies will inevitably be cut unless the other net contributors are willing to pay more (unlikely).

Makes sense. I wonder by what margin and for what subsidised areas though. Anything published along those lines before?

It's true, i voted to Leave and i can see that the referendum has been buried.

The article triggering will get postboned and postboned and May and Merkel will need just a little more time....and then some more excuses and then come 2018 "ah it was only advisory and a lot has changed since 2016" and with all that time passing most of the public will have forgotten about the vote leading the UK to have worked out some sort of deal with the EU and Scotland to remain.

It's very possible that the EU will drag the negotiation out indefinitely by engineering a stalemate. Neither side can afford to split on bad terms, and the only leverage each other have will harm themselves as much as the other side. I can't see an agreement in the pipeline, and equally can't see the UK just walking away.
