It's a Brazilian paper reporting on Fabinho, one that is apparently only reliable for news from inside Brazil and unreliable for anything to do with leagues outside the country.

I think RW has been one of our weakest positions for years - I genuinely struggle to think of the last decent player we had on that side. I also think adding a player like Mahrez who is good for 10-15 goals, and brings an assload of creativity, would really take the pressure off our striker problem. I don't know if he was ever available, or if a deal was ever likely, but he would be a great great fit for us if we'd have been able to bring him in.

Things are look pretty desperate at this point, if we do manage to sign Mustafi that should take care of our CB problem, but I just don't see a striker out there thats going to plug the gap.

Wenger will seemingly continue buying loads and loads, and loads, and loads of either central strikers or central midfielders and play them out wide.

I can't even name them all but we started with Arshavin, Rosicky then about 30 others who all prefer playing a kind of no.10 role and we shoved them all out wide. Played Wiltord, bendtner out wide. Last few years Ramsey plays wide a lot, Ox, Ozil, Caz. I mean you could say Walcott as he's spent a decade saying he'd prefer to play through the middle.... but he seems to be one of the few people to not realise he's utterly awful through the middle.

Needed a CB, Coquelin as cover for CB (if that is true) while Mert is out rather than buying a CB. Mert is pushing on a lot and constantly gets caught out due to lacking pace, he's been poor in our very biggest games, particularly in Europe. Coquelin isn't the answer, we should have been looking to replace Mert even if he wasn't injured, now it's just much more urgent.
 
I actually think Wenger won't buy anyone else. He makes bids he knows will fail so he can say at least he tried. Yet another nothing season on the cards.
 
Starting to feel a bit sorry for Arsenal supporters. The club are absolutely wasting the likes of Sanchez and Ozil by not providing them with a great goal scorer. Both are 27, one more season of nothing and they could call it quits and look for a last chance at sustained silverware.
 
Arsene will pull something out of the bag. It would seem odd to spend the last few windows buying the likes of Ozil and Sanchez only to stop buying top class players when the squad isn't complete. Especially since United, City and Chelsea will all have strengthened a lot come mid August.

Ozil and Sanchez will definitely be off if nothing gets better this season. Last season should have been a walk to the title for Arsenal without City, United, Chelsea and Pool getting anywhere near it but they still choked.
 
I know with Arsenal and Wenger they like to keep tight lipped on any potential transfers. Özil happened at the last minute due to Madrid buying Bale and same with Sanchez, didn't even realise we were in for him till it happened. Didn't see many rumours or the ITK's saying he was coming.

I just hope that Wenger has something in the bag that he will pull out soon, we need a CB and a striker at the very least.
