Mrs Mangel has died.

I remember her. My grandma and sister were obsessed with Neighbours. Personally I'm neutral. But still sad news. Death visits us all at some point.
 
Remember her house was haunted but turned out to be some animal stuck in her chimney. Used to scare me asa kid that episode.

Indeed, it would mean she was only 62-64 when doing the show, I had thought she was much much older back then, but I guess my recollection of what the world was like thirty years ago is a bit blurred.
Also surprised she was only in the show for two years.

Was the first thing I said when I heard this news yesterday. Used to love, and be scared of Mrs Mangel in equal measures growing up.

I cannot remember the last time I had seen Neighbours. Must have been 94 or 95. There was always some lost uncle or sister or somebody died and came back.

Though I'll never forget the late 80s. Everyone spoke of it. It was like that event in New York where millions watched the last episode of Friends out on the streets.



Then of course this was playing at nearly every disco/night club/caravan club you name it. Everywhere you heard it, it was blazing.

 
RIP use to love watching neighbours.

Wonder how many emigrated due to that programme :D
