Man Utd and Everton apparently battling it out for saints skipper and European championship winner Jose fonte one player I certainly didn't think we'd loose but then I didn't think he'd be a star this summer or that a big club would suddenly start flashing 10million for a 32 year old (man Utd being the big club for clarity, I know Everton invented the dug out but really does that make them big?)

No just bigger than Southampton, the big clubs cherry pick our 'better players' where as Liverpool take all yours. :D:p

Everton on the verge* of receiving ridiculous money for two payers that are no where near their worth. They should be asking for a few players in return for both.

*Probably not.

I can't believe the money people will offer over the years for our players, it's as though all the top clubs scouts do their scouting through the media.

hmmm I think its just media, Im not sure JM is actually looking at Fonte

Would be surprised if he didnt go for a more established / experienced player

32 year old with over 250 apps in the PL not experienced enough, Frank?

Leeds have signed Pablo Hernandez, I thought he was older than 31 so I'm happy with that, will be a great no 10.

So Moyes has come out and said he'd like to sign Fellaini!!!

David Moyes admits Sunderland have an interest in Man United duo Fellaini & Januzaj. Hear from him on @SkySportsNewsHQ very soon.

5 or 6 million he would be a good buy for Sunderland, with United paying half his wages for the remainder of his contract. Januzaj I'd love to see at Everton. We can fix the damage done under LVG and sell him back to United for 100m in 3 years.

surely Arsenal should be aiming higher than Ashley Williams, though I suppose it will add much needed leadership to the back four.

I think he would be a really good signing. Better than buying someone from Europe for more money, less experience, little leadership etc.

Lol, we would never sell Fellaini for that little or pay any of his wages for the rest of his contract. He is not a horrendous player, he just isn't great and needs to be used in the right way. He was good in Evertons system under Moyes but that was because their football style and ambition was limited.

No he wasn't. He was garbage for 95% of the games at Everton too. He had a great game against Chelsea one season and the papers talked him up, there was a rumour about Chelsea wanting him. The next year he had a good game against Manu. I literally couldn't believe my luck when he went for more than £5.
