MSI RX 480 Gaming X now on OCUK

Oh thats a pricey 480, unusual for MSI to whack a price like that on their Gaming Cards.
 
Not really, MSI has been increasing their prices steadily as they built up their brand, now they're cashing in but also decreasing in quality (thus getting even fatter margins). Same trajectory as Asus, but the latter are a bit more advanced in this plan. Of course, it can crash later on but for now they enjoy the Razer status.

Clearly been watching Asus collecting a tax for the privilege of having their name on the box for years, seeing that they still sell incredibly well despite that and decided to get in on it. Can't blame them I suppose. If people are willing to be milked, why not grab a teat?
 
£300 defeats the purpose of a card aimed at the mass market. Surely they will have to reduce prices once they realize it won't sell that much.

We are massively over-inflating the price, only 30 units entering the UK, 10 of which are coming to OcUK, we could sell it at £269.99, but were not, all the stock will sell at £299. :)

When MSI can ship me a proper quantity, for example 500-1000 units then I shall reduce price until £269.99 but whilst it is in shortage, we shall price high.
