I just hope we have alternatives and we should move on them soon as the Pogba situation is getting tiresome

I agree the whole Pogba situation got me like :

To be fair the Ibra transfer was like this as well, and I thought he was playing it up as much as possible.........and then along came Pogba and it got 10 times worse (even considering the complexities of a £100m deal, this has been eeked out agrivatingly slowly)

Nothing is going to be announced today as it will completely overshadow Rooney's testimonial. By all accounts it's done, so we're just waiting for an announcement...

Considering he hasnt even had his medical (which I believe is going to happen in Manchester now, and the LA one was just hogwash) , and of course he wanted to fly to NY just when Real were in town, coincidentally......:):(

Can United do that with them being on the stock exchange and what not ?

Probably talking nonsense so...ignore me if I am.

You'd think if 100mil + had just been spent then it wouldn't be something you could keep under wraps...I don't know a load about this kind of thing mind you.

Technically its only "agreed to spend" as like all / majority of transfers the whole fee is rarely if ever paid all at once anyway and is done over a number of years

From a general business perspective, I seem to recall reading somewhere that its beneficial for Utd to annouce these kinds of things in early evening GMT (ie mid morning in New York) to make the most of that day's trading on the stock exchange, but I have no idea if thats actually true.

I believe that Stock Market rules state that anything that's liable to have an effect on the stock price should be announced directly to the stock market first. Spending £100m and getting a potentially world class player is, I'd imagine, exactly that.

While thats true, Utd (or any other SE listed company) can do that at any time of the day....

City have signed Jesus. Is that Zlatan's son?

£27m or there abouts, wonder if he will be one of the few brazilians to take positively to the EPL

Pep's supposedly spent around £100m this summer on Gundogan, Sane, Jesus and Nolito and still trying to bargain for Stones if rumours are true.

How do they do it!? Bought him for £11m and sold him for the same. Good business.

Chelsea do appear to be the masters at getting rid of their unwanted players for as much if not more than they originally paid

Wouldnt mind some of their nogotiators at Utd :)

Looks like Draxler is off the market for this window.
VfL Wolfsburg wish to make it absolutely clear that at no time did those responsible at the club make either written nor oral commitments on the transfer of Julian Draxler within the current transfer period, which is due to end on August 31st, 2016. This is reiterated by a contractual release clause agreed upon with Julian Draxler and his management, which does not come into effect until summer 2017.

VfL Wolfsburg will not be selling Julian Draxler during the course of the current transfer period.

Wow, that's a strong statement.

I imagine he is going to be pretty disgruntled given what he has said in the press over the last couple of days.
