so my Asus Strix died on me a few weeks back and I got a replacement card through within a few days from the retailer.

now my old card was always pretty silent but I noticed the new card had a noise off it.

so today Im hearing a rattle from a fan under after checking yip its a fan on the card.. ( dont get me wrong my pc is pretty silent but I can just hear the rattle over the noise from the case fans )

so do I send it back? Ive only had it 3 weeks so im thinking will it get worse

See what it can clock to first, :-)
Its pretty pants compared to my old one.. :(

but Im planning on getting a 1070 in a few month and my lad would get the 970 so this wasn't a major issue.. but with the rattle off the fan is starting to annoy me..

sent them an Email tonight. so hopefully get word back from them tomorrow.

Ive noticed it's got worse throughout the day...

so been in touch with the retailer they told me to get in touch with Asus..

called Asus and they more or less told me the fan is knackered get back in touch with my retailer...

It's odd that your retailer sent you to Asus, usually the first port of call is the retailer. Without mentioning names... can you hint at the retailer?

What's even more of an issue is the large company, which owns all the copper wiring in this country, that purchased them have hopeless customer service when it comes to their shop front. I've given up buying stuff elsewhere a couple of years ago, the customer service here is second to none.

It shouldn't be an problem though, it's an obvious issue. I hope they don't make you wait while they send it off to Asus.

I must admit over the last while anything I buy does come from here as you say the customer service is spot on and I have no complaints.

I got the 970 from a mate through a deal so sadly it wasn't me that purchased it new.

Ill be upgrading my card in the next few months and it will be bought from OCuk for sure.

My lads pc will be getting the 970 hence im not giving up on getting it fixed..

its more annoying that this card is a replacement from one that died and is only 3 weeks old..

Ive been trying to find a way to upload a sound clip as hearing it is almost amusing

replacement arrived today.. so far so good.
starting to look at gpu upgrades now.. my lad will end out getting the 970 to upgrade from his 7950.
