Hi Guys,

So a few weeks back I posted saying that i found a scotch mark on my motherboard.

I had been using my machine as a Hackintosh and it seemed to use the Ram differently than a PC and thus only crashed every few days, now its ever 1o minutes.

I need a new x79 motherboard, but they have been discontinued as its now moved to x99/v3. My CPU is a 3930k i7 and its working fine so I really don't want to fork out for another CPU and motherboard if I can carry on using this processor for a while longer with another x79 board.

Do any of you know where I can get an ASUS board from?

Many thanks!

So I have sourced 3 motherboards, I have the Gigabyte UD5, which is now dead.

My options are

1. Gigabyte X79 UD5 (already own it so know it works with my setup).

2. Asus P9X70 Pro

3. ASRock Extreme9

What would be your pick?

Unfortunately the company I sourced got the boards in today and they were damaged OEM parts, looks like I may have to stick some new kit on finance and go x99!
