I rent 2 lines from Vodafone. They called me to say based on my usage I'm on the wrong contract on both lines. They offered me better data, minutes and messages based on my usage, for a cheaper monthly payment, and without renewing the contract either, so my final contract end date isn't effected.

I was with Orange/T-Mobile/EE for 8 years before moving to Vodafone, and they never did this, not even once.

id get that written in an email / letter so you can back your claims up when they dont honour it.

Been there, done that, worked for voda and got the tshirt. Get it quoted in an email, or a transcript (if ever done on live chat)

Took me through hell to get my ex-employee 30% discount honoured and they still messed it up for a couple of months.

The calls are recorded. I noted the date and time of the call if things go sour.

The calls are sometimes recorded :P

Always best to get your own copies of any transcripts or deals. Saves a lot less hassle, and them turning round and getting out of it leaving you without a leg to stand on.

Vodafone are useless

Phoned me up telling me how they could save me money on a better deal. I explained that what they were offering was £6 a month more than their own website. They hung up.

I went onto the website and did it myself. Big mistake. They not only left my monthly payments the same, but cut me off!!!! Yep, that same day I had no signal. Turns out, someone at vodafone saw my online order, cancelled it, and put it through as a new registration to get commission. I had to wait two days for the new sim card to arrive and mess about porting numbers.

Shambles!

This makes no sense whatsoever - why would they do that!

100% sure it was Vodafone and not someone trying to get your information to nab some money?
It's totally real. Happens behind the scenes every year I think (might be more often now) and if you're not then you'll be contacted by a CS rep. All calls are recorded but i agree, double check it happens in the next few days (it will appear on your online account) to make sure because the NewCo IT system that CS runs on is made of crushed dreams.

Vodafone.

Forget to take payment via direct debit, suspend all business phones on my contract for none payment of the money they forgot to ask for.

Vodafone.

It's been many years since I was with Vodafone but their ability to screw up billing on a monthly basis means that will continue to be the case for many more years.

Have to agree with the majority here! I get business discount with them and still won't use them for my personal contract as they usually find a way to mess things up.
