Eurostar - where to go besides Paris?

As topic...fancy a trip as i haven't done it before.
So what are my options / where would you recommend?

Avignon is very much worth a visit and you've then got a great base to explore Provence.

Of course you could get the Eurostar to Brussels rather than Paris. Certainly loads of onward travel options from both. Do you have any particular interests, things you would enjoy doing on holiday. Could be helpful for making you recommendations.

Lille is a very nice town too. Grew up there, it's quite surprising that it's so close using the eurostar.

Ah ha - didn't know that.

Would be a friday night - sunday afternoon trip...not looking for a "boozed up brit abroad" but more explore a city/town, see a few sights but also go out until the early hours etc. So i guess somewhere with a nightlife also.

We took Eurostar to Brussels and changed onto Thalys for Amsterdam. Was good.
