Black Lives Matter protest in London and Nottingham

Then you wouldn't catch your flight because you would be arrested....

I'd 'push' them out of the way. I've seen a video from the States where a woman 'pushes' a BLM protester out of the way when they had blocked the motorway she was on. The police looked on and did nothing - The women even spoke to one of the officers and presumably was given the go ahead.

Radical movements like BLM will only creative bigger divides in my opinion.
I know they argue against this, but the name alone is divisive.

Creating a protest that affects normal folk just trying to go away for a nice holiday seems rather absurd, and is not going to win any affection. Get yourself down Westminster if you want to protest. Idiots.

They've already done a Westminster march where a few of them got right into Police officers faces and tried desperately to provoke them.

Black Lives Matter is an entirely sensible movement in the US; it seems odd to carry the same slogan to the UK where our Police are not much in the business of shooting anyone. There are still issues with racism in the UK that need addressing, and while the institutional racism of the Police does persist to this day - although much improved - I'm not sure importing a US movement is going to be an effective means of moving forward.

The police should just drag these idiots out of the way not "negotiate" with them, its not a ******* hostage situation ffs.

They are bound by reasonable force. If they can prevent an incident without resulting to force then they must. Imagine if they dragged you off the road and you fractured your wrist on the kerb... you'd ask why they didn't attempt to talk to you and negotiate first.

I agree wholeheartedly with what you're saying, but thought I'd let you know why :p

Why are they not just arrested for obstruction of the highway? Especially if it is on the M4 part of the Heathrow entrance. I always had it in my mind that it was illegal to walk on the main motorway thoroughfare.

Exactly. Bringing the lawful killing of a gun-running wannabe gangster (Mark Duggan) into it is also not going to help their cause. If that's their best example of police brutality against black people then they're really scraping the barrel. And that was in 2011, ffs.

It isn't even in the US a legitimate movement. Facts prove they should be targeting black culture which is the root of so many of that communities problems.

What racism is there in the UK? Institutional racism is almost entirely a cop-out

Should send them packing to the US where they can experience much better treatment then they would get here...

I think if people are infringing other peoples ability to get on a flight which they have paid hundreds or thousands of pounds for it is perfectly reasonable to move them by force if they don't immediately comply when asked to move

Didn't realise this was a thing in the UK. Is it a bit like how we adopted Black Friday?

You surely aren't being serious asking why they haven't been arrested ?
I would say the name of the organisation gives a slight clue.
