You can't go around accusing someone of having an entitlement complex. I edited it because it was borderline and this thread is already smoking hot, without adding fuel to the fire :p
 
I'm of an Asian-Pakistani background. Never encountered any racism in the workplace and never felt I was denied an opportunity or promotion because of my race.

Only racism I experience now is in the streets, mostly people shouting abuse and throwing things from a passing car. I've grown up with it but bothers me more now when I have my young kids with me.

There was a lot of racism when I grew up in the 70s, almost daily from white skin-head types. At college on my first day I was sat next to two skin-heads who became my best friends for the next 2 years. Never did like the music they played :)

At Uni I thought I'd be safer with other Asians but it was just as bad with muslims vs hindus vs sikhs vs everyone. There are racists on all sides.

really how? have I insulted you in anyway?

I didn't make myself their spokesman, you seem to want me to be,

I simply made the point that how would anyone that is not black know how they feel when they are protesting about racism against black people, whats stupid about that, and if you don't like what I have to say stop asking me.

they're protesting about black people getting shot/killed, by police.

which is daily occurrence in uk? ;)

They do have a right to protest but it is based on an illegitimacy! Their argument could be trashed and then we would see a whole new level of cognitive dissonance
 
I give up with this thread lol try and have a reasonable debate, and just get the same crap repeated over and over again by a guy who has no idea what hes talking about *mentioning no names.

Ok, seeing as you're struggling to get your head around my question, let me try a different approach:

If I were to go lie on a road with a bunch of mates saying that white lives matter, would that be a legit protest in your eyes, because you have no idea what it's like to be a white person?

Why are you asking me that question? I don't know why some idiots are protesting under a misguided slogan copied from the US relating to incidents that rarely occur here.

And what does that have to do with your point re: racism that you've failed to justify?

Nothing about the Black Lives Matter protests has ever said otherwise. Your response is about as dumb as turning up at a protest cancer fundraiser and protesting "all cancers matter".
 
I was delayed today by these idiots. I don't mind protesting, but doing it in ways that purposely inconvenience everyone else is completely unnecessary and ultimately embarrassing to your cause.

They could have taken up the whole of Market Square for all I care, but please get out of the road.

The rise of the militant Left. Have nothing better to do apparently except protest, protest, protest, claim benefits, protest, protest, claim benefits. Wouldn't be surprised if Corbyn comes out publically backing them as he seems to be the leader of a protest movement rather than a party ATM.

Well.. might have been true. Until one of their self proclaimed leaders were telling white reporters and white protesters to get to the back of the protest group...
