**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I think my S7 edge is dying - screen has started suddenly this morning to show significant grey horizontal banding that seems to get worse/better depending on what the screen brightness is. Bugger.

Anyone else seen or heard of this?

I've a SanDisk 128GB the same as the above and just lately it's at a crawling 5Mb/s speed.. Saving videos taken with the camera is ridiculously slow! Anybody else had this?

EDIT: Benched it and it does 30Mb/s read and 3Mb/s write...

I had problems with mine in my s7. Thumbnails were blank, wouldn't index etc and crawled along. Once removed my phone flew again. I tend not to bother with a card now which is a shame but between onboard and the cloud I can get away with not needing it

Yeah, I'm quite tempted to do this to be honest.

It'll be a bit of a struggle though as Spotify takes up a large amount!

I've only really noticed it being incredibly slow when transferring over USB to the SD card in the phone, or after recording a video where it does the "saving" bit. Might test it in a bit and compare the time taken to save a 20 second clip to both the SD card and On-board separately.

Saw this comment on reddit from a leaker stating that Nougat will be released very quickly after official launch. Of course this is in relation to the NOte 7, but there is absolutely no reason why this shouldn't apply to the S7 either.

I have a theory that Samsung delays software updates on purpose to boost sales of new or more current devices. I heard that they might delay Nougat to encourage people to buy the Note 7.

One issue after another.

Finger print thing is sorted out, not sure what happened but re did my fingerprint and its working fine.

Now, I have black bars going across my screen when I adjust my brightness, similar to the issues seen here - Link

Anyone else had this issue?

Same problem, Samsung are replacing mine.

Due an upgrade and contemplating a Galaxy S7 to compliment the Nexus 5X and iPhone 6s that I currently rotate. I haven't really kept up with the S7 news since launch - how is it looking right now? Any huge bugs or problems started to crop up now people have used them for a few months?

I know the initial reviews were great, but it's a different kettle of fish when you're living with the thing week in, week out.

I got 7 hour sot the other day over 2 days on my edge

Absolute stunning phone, not reached them times since they z3 days

What's the go to screen protector/case for the S7. I'm able to upgrade tomorrow and probably going down the S7 route.

S7 or S7 Edge ?

If S7 then any glass protector really and any spigen case

If S7 Edge then most glass protectors are rubbish and not adhere to the edges, better of getting a Best Skins Ever front plastic protector or a Ultimate Shield and any spigen case

Anyone using Cerberus on this phone and had device security come up that Cerberus is malware? I'm sick of the notification popping up! Anyway to put it on an ignore list, or a fix?

Sometimes when switching between tabs, the one I select will stay blank and not load, so I have to close that tab and re open it, this a common problem?
