**** The Official Google Nexus 6P Thread ****

i am on my 2nd n6 as gave mrs my first, still the best android phone out at the moment in my view, having had a S7 for 2 weeks it was not as snappy with all that crudware on,

my advise would be if you can pick one up cheap then do it, i paid £250 for my mint second hand one 2 weeks back.

if not wait for the next version and hope HTC don't let us down

I think it will end up being late October. As thats when it always comes. October / November. Can't see them changing and bring a new phone out before that.

He's been reliable in the past so maybe ...

But surely the next Nexus device is a long way off. No proper leaks would indicate it is not being mass produced yet

That will be a charge in strategy but sounds good to me. I am fairly keen to keep my 6p for a bit longer anyway.

As I want to see what happens with Google making there own phone as well as a HTC Nexus.

It might not ever come back into stock... usually stock starts running out the closer we get to the replacement launching.

have had terrible battery life over the last few days - first time since I've had the phone since last november that I've had any problems!!
basically the phone was not going into doze and sometimes not even turning the screen off after 1 min of inactivity... seem to have narrowed it down to it being a blue tooth bug as wiping cache partition and disabling BT has fixed it but I've not really read too much about similar issues so just wondering if anyone else has come across this?

I had a bug like that and Bluetooth related. I just wiped the phone and started over. Easy enough these days.

weird issue with this phone. when using a case that goes round the edges and back but doesn't cover the front at all, if on a phone call and the phone is against your head, the person on the other end hears them self when they talk. i believe with the case on the phone struggles to figure out that the voice that comes through the ear speaker is background noise and not what's being said by the person holding the phone so sends it back through, but no idea why as the case doesn't cover anything on the front, and has a large gap for the charger so doesn't come close to covering that either.

the case:

any suggestions what we can do to fix?

i'm aware that when on loud speaker, if i cover the top speaker of my phone, this makes the person on the other end also hear them self. no idea why but it does. perhaps others can test this for me to see if this is just me or not. this isn't the issue as i never put the phone on loud speaker and then cover the top section, however the case issue is a problem as it makes it impossible to the person talking to me to speak as they get jammed hearing themselves 1 second later

I have that exact case on mine and don't have any issues. Lovely case actually.

There is a known problem from several months back which google have acknowledged but not fixed. For some people when you take the phone off of charge the backup service works continuously and prevents the phone from sleeping. If this is the problem you can work around it by restarting the phone after you take it off of charge in the morning.
