CPW are right pee takers, I went in early to ask about pre-orders as my upgrade is due Aug 14th, they were like yea we can do that you get the VR Headset etc.

So I was going through it, and they said "that's £55 to upgrade early"... I was like, but I am not, I'm pre-ordering, the phone is out Sep 2nd and I can upgrade Aug 14th so how is it early. Turns out because I wanted to pre-order it classed as today being the upgrade date, which is fine that makes sense. So I said, well if I come back on the 14th and do the same thing, I assume the £55 is moot as it's my upgrade date "That's correct sir"... so why not just tell me to wait or i'm going to pay £55 for essentially nothing.

I understand the issue with dates, it was the approach of trying to get money out of me rather than saying, just wait a week or so and come back.

The sales person has targets to hit...
 
It'll reduce the chance to a degree but with the right impact at the wrong point a phones screen will break tempered glass or not.
 
Maybe so but if it reduces the likelihood even by just 10% it's worth the £5-10 investment imo but if it's not possible then I'll just have to be careful.
 
No way, if that's true it's a bit disappointing that they didn't just lead with it in the first place!

. If I remember correctly things like this have happened before, albeit different phones.

There are four colours but only those two at launch. I would expect to see Silver Titanium and Gold Platinum some time after launch.
