Poll: Do you carry your driving licence with you at all times? i.e. in your wallet/purse?

Do you carry your licence on you?

I do as I use it as ID when asked

I thought this was common practice though some seem to think it's odd.

It's always in my wallet and while i take my wallet most places, not everywhere. Work for example, I have an ID card and holder, but I don't have my wallet with me. Could put my license in the rear if i really wanted but choose not to.

Not once have I needed my driving licence while out and about.

I chuck it in my wallet, my wallet goes with me everywhere.

No; it is still in it's original plastic wallet albeit faded and falling apart. It's in a locked filing cabinet along with other ID related stuff.

I never leave the house without my Driving License - Used for age/ID verification mostly.

I was also surprised to hear in the other thread that some people don't carry it on them...

Always left at home unless I know I'll need to use it for ID.

Only carry a debit card in a slim wallet and usually no cash. If I lose my wallet I only need to cancel one card.

If you're young or look young then I can see why you will need to carry it for ID. Unfortunately I'm no longer asked to verify my age

always carry it. handy to have photo ID just in case (still get ID'd for alcohol at 35).

Hehe I definitely understand why you wouldn't carry it if you were old enough to not get asked - I think I'd still carry it nonetheless, otherwise I'd always forget to bring it when actually required. But my wallet is like my phone - I carry them both with me wherever I go. They're like an attachment to myself, and I feel naked without them

Mind you, I know my license number off by heart for some reason . It's actually a pretty simple structure which uses your personal details

I carry mine in my wallet at all times. It is very useful to be able to prove who you are without having to specifically remember to carry something with you when you need to, for instance when collecting an item from the post office etc.
