Appears that Sheffield Wednesday are close to signing Joe Bennett back to the club, however this time on a permanent deal.

Fairly so-so about this, he would be little more than back up to Pudil, he looked 'ok' the few appearances he had last season. However we are desperately short at left back.

Still need midfield reinforcements, a winger (right side, but either would do) and a centre back.

Would have loved a move for Rico Henry (Walsall). I know there was talk of looking at Northwick-Jackson / McNair from Manchester United too.

To be honest, I know he is not a 'fashionable' player, but Williams would have a strong shout for getting in to most Premier League defences. At £12,000,000 that is an absolute steal for an experienced, solid defender, not to mention a leader.

I really dont know why Mourinho didnt go for Williams as competition for Bailly and Smalling (and given Utd's recent injury record)

They are all spending big because of the massive TV deal kicks in this year.

doubt its even close to be fair

They got around £100m from the EPL and tv deal last season and they have spent around £160m with Stones, and with all the sponsorship etc I doubt they have any big issues

City have been quiter than I expected them to be, I think klopp this window has over all been quiter just that costs have sky rocketed it seems worse

I'd like a left back and 1 more centre back and then I'd be quite content with our purchases. Then if we can shift out Balotelli, Benteke and Markovic, that would do for me. But getting a new Left Back before the window closes is an absolute must.
