**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Any hard case + screen reccomendations? Second time i've had to get my phone replaced because i've dropped it at knee height and the screen cracking/smashing :mad:

Is there anyway of scrolling back to the top of a page on the galaxy s7?
On the iPhone you just press the top of the screen.

I miss being able to do this, worked on all Web pages and apps too, was great

I've noticed my s7 edge is laggy, all apps closed and restarted the phone, typing on here now and the letters show up a second after I've pressed it, only started today.

Hi, my partner has ordered one of these to arrive today. Upgraded from iPhone 6 to this. Anything in particular she should be aware of/do.

Also, what is a good case to cover front and back, probably more of a flip/wallet style.

Thanks

What I normally do...

Go into app manager and disable all the bloat apps I would never use.

Change the theme to a stock Android. one.

Then install nova launcher and customise my desktop layout.

Thanks. Also. What's best way to transfer her contacts from iPhone over to Samsung phone. Photos etc we can do ourselves easily

Just wondered best option.

Well, dropped this phone and plenty others many times and been lucky enough its never smashed. Of course I drop it picking up off a granite work top from about a fingers width in height and its buggered. Flashing white non stop near the point of impact.

Going to take it to the Samsung Store tomorrow, whats the odds they can replace in one day or have I done a fair bit of damage if the screen is flashing and not displaying properly as well as the crack? (Also the likely price?)

Sorry if this has been asked.

In a years time I get the option of upgrading to any latest phone and o2 won't charge me a buyout fee, so I could essentially get the S8 or whatever might be the latest phone.

However what I'm wondering is, if I flash the phone maybe o2 won't take it in.

So if I do decide to root/flash the phone, the Knox counter will get triggered won't it? So if I decide to unroot will the Knox counter be reset. Or will it be tough and if I want to return the phone I'm best not attempting to do anything to the phone?

Cheers.

Out of interest, does anyone have any view, or indeed experience, in "upgrading" from the S6 edge plus to the S7 edge?
My contract is running out soon and I was all set for just going Sim Only but there are some decent deals out there for the S7 edge.
I put upgrading in quotation marks as I don't see an obvious upgrade here. Yes the expandable storage and waterproofing is a good thing but ultimately I'm worried about the decrease in screen size.

I'm not too interested in the note 7 as the s pen probably wouldn't get much use and I'd imagine the pricing will be sky high.

Maybe deals for S7 range will fall when note is released??

I guess its something only you can decide, but personally I can't see the point as its not a big enough upgrade, I'd just go SIM free and wait until the S8 or something else I fancy. That's just me though, I don't feel the need to upgrade as often these days, and a contract ending is no real reason.
