I somewhat doubt it. Also wouldn't be happy if it came to me like that
Then tell the seller your decision. You're not going to pay a penny more.

I'd give him that link and remind him to check in the future. I've had to pay more than I've put for postage before, now I just put it as free if I sell anything (which generally results in higher bids anyway).

That's what happens when you blindly take your parcel to the Post Office. The prices I've seen people pay are obscene, especially when you can get DPD Next Day for £8.
Ebay often don't allow enough postage in a lot of categories and certainly never allow enough for insured postage! but yeah that is right (£14) for sending a medium Royal Mail parcel. So the £10 link is not an unreasonable compromise.
I've got in the habit now of always offering two postage options. The cheapest signed for option and a more sensible 1-2 day tracked and signed for courier option.

OK I wasn't expecting the bag to be quite that big - 45x16x16". £14 doesn't sound too bad...
a courier would still be cheaper that 14 quid.
If you are happy with the price you paid, cant get it elsewhere for that price combined with P and P then take it.
I wouldn't pay more unless the combined cost was still worth it.
I also wouldn't beg for more money to post an item i sold without doing my research first. Its not your problem in the slightest.
When you get it open a dispute saying you never received it lol

Yeah, I'd go with what other people are saying.
If you make things difficult, he'll just cancel the sale (you still can't force him to do anything).
If you offer to meet in the middle, it gives the option to him.
I guess it depends on how much the item went for, really. With fees, he could end up taking a loss (in which case, he'll likely cancel)

i thought postage was separate from fees nowadays ? hence stopping the scams ? Or is it included now... to stop the scams #?
