Looking at finally getting myself a HTC 10.

Found what I think is a brilliant deal on http://www.mobilephonesdirect.co.uk/

Phone free
Vodafone 24 months
Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
10GB data
24 months Spotify

£48 month

£38 month after cashback

The only thing that puts me off is the cashback. If it was a straight £38 a month I'd be signed up already.

Any thoughts?

Voda do 12m contracts and it's available unlimited unlimited 12gb free handset for £51, £67 before cashback £612 over the length of contract via mobile phones direct.

Cashback is great until you forget to claim it. Another option, but not as cheap, is to get a HTC 10 from htc with £100 off until 18th aug for £470. Then get 30gb's of data/200 mins/ unlimited texts from 3 for £20 a month and they give you a £50 amazon voucher. It's a 12m contract so if you double it to 24m it works out at £950 (including cost of phone and not including the voucher). Or go with giffgaff goodybags for ultimate flexibility. £20 a month for unlimited everything.

Just to add, that includes Spotify which I would have to pay separately if it wasn't included, so treat it as £38 before cashback, £28 after.

I can't use anything on the o2 network as no signal at home, so rules out Tesco & GiffGaff as well.

Been with Vodafone for the last 2 years, had one problem with my contract details, but signal wise and 4G speeds seem spot on.

It sounds quite a good deal then. I just know I would forget to get the cashback but if you are organised enough then it sounds good.

You'd better check you can actually get that deal on upgrade then? The best deals are usually new customers only

I've cancelled my current contract, and received my PAC code to take my number with me. I'll just be a new customer via Mobile Phones Direct.

I would have stayed with Vodafone, but their friends & family staff discount has now changed (was saving 30% on previous contract from family member), plus they don't stock the HTC 10 themselves, so no deal making possible unfortunately.

That's not bad at all.

£38 x 24 = £912
Minus Spotify @ £119.88 = £792.12
Minus phone at ~£550 = £242.12

£242.12 / 24 = £10.08 a month for all the data and unlimited texts & calls.

It's not bad at all, although best thing to do would have been to get a killer retention deal sim only then buy the handset (if you have the upfront cash)

If you don't want to stump up the money then the contract is probably as good as it will get.

Mobiles.co.uk seem to have a 12GB one for £37 (no cashback involved) but unclear if it includes Sportify or not.

Good find, Spotify should be included with all Red 4G plans according to the Vodafone website, but will have to message them before I proceed.
