Quick question, I'm planning on changing my CPU block this weekend from an XSPC Raystorm pro to an EK Supremacy Evo.

Just wondering if the mounting brackets are the same? I.E could I get away with not changing them & just swop the blocks over?

For anyone who was interested the answer is no you can't.
The standoffs on the EK block are longer & a different thread.

Indeed they are, the block heights are not consistent basically with all the differences in the physical shape and size of the mount.

@OP why are you changing block ? I'm looking at cpu blocks now to replace an AIO and can't really decide between the XSPC and EK. Is the EK better in some way ? From the reviews, there really doesn't seem to be much in it.

Purely for aesthetics. The EK has a clear top so you can see the coolant inside & with the LEDS it lights up really nicely.
Both blocks perform as good as each other.

Thanks - was worried in case I'd missed something. Still undecided, will probably faff until an offer on one of them.
