Been to dentist today to have a abscess removed from root of my front tooth.

While it was going on I started to think of my first operation at age of 7 or 8 - It was at children's hospital in Birmingham -

I can still remember vividly being in prep room and nurse putting a rubber mask over my mouth and nose and could smell the Chloroform being turned on or whatever it was and spinning into unconsciousness - Also vivid is being sick when woke up and nurse with kidney bowl shoved under my chin.

I think this is where I got my dislike of using condoms as they smell just like that rubber mask. :D

In other news a small leprechaun lesbian was found in Tesco's trolling the vegetable isle while whistling Dixie! Seriously though, teeth can suck not just bite. ;)
 
My old man said when was a boy in the '50s, he went into hospital to have his tonsils removed. The nurse asked him if he wanted some jelly or rice pudding - he chose jelly, which they spiked with the anesthetic for the op. Next thing he knew he woke up in pain with blood running from his mouth down onto his pyjama top. The next time he had jelly again it was at one of my school parties. I still think that's a really sad story.

I'm not one to criticise what consenting adults get up to behind closed doors. However, if you're putting the condom over your face have you considered that you may be doing it wrong?
 
More reasons to go to the dentist than merely dental health. Same reason to go to the optician; they can spot many a thing that could be affecting other parts of the body.

Too name but a few. I was the same as you, had a very strict dental regime so never bothered with the dentist. After some badgering by the wife I caved and went for a check up - 2 wisdom teeth which weren't giving me any trouble were in fact just 'shells' as they had basically rotted from the inside. 4-5 hours spent getting them removed - stitches in the gum, pain for weeks.

I now go every 6 months for a check up and clean and shine.

No need to cry, just go and see a dentist :p!

You'll hopefully be fine, doesn't hurt to go once a year though. Well, it can, hopefully it won't ;).
