Alibaba, any body actually had the cohones to buy stuff!

I have used it.
Its no worse than ebay set to worldwide filter.
Pure Chinese suppliers.
They use an escrow system so it's quite safe.
Most users seemed to be Russian :p
Tbh you mostly find the same crap as on eBay but you can also access the weirder things like frozen goat semen and live chicken chicks.

I have n't used alibaba, but I`ve had a lot of electronic stuff from banggood.com and had no problems. Mainly components.

Used it, massive savings can be had.

Wanted something rare one year that I couldn't find in the uk or Europe in stock but was listed on there about a sixth of the price. Did my research and they were the genuine Chinese manufacturers of the itEm anyway.

Ended up several weeks later with a £60 item for £10 delivered.

I'm sure it was on the News years ago it was one of the biggest companies in the world and the owner dresses up as a woman.
It could have been a dream.

Use it all the time for 3d printing parts etc.

I have had aluminium extrusion cut to specific lengths (to the mm) and had them shipped via FedEx to me in Aus far cheaper than getting them locally - quality was top notch.

All the stuff you see on Ebay is most of the time from people who have brought it by the dozen from China.

I've bought a few bits from Aliexpress, in fact I'm just about to order a new exhaust off there now.

I've got loads of stuff from there. Most of the stuff is just coming from the same factory that then is selling the identical item to a 'western' company who will then must mark it up or join the components together to then claim it's made in the UK, US, etc.

I've had great customer service too just use verified sellers etc.

Bought several knock off cycling jerseys from ali express. 30+ rides and 15+ washes later and it's still going as new! relitively fast shipping and no hidden fees to pay! I'd steer clear of electronics section though.

agreed - cycling tops etc fake oakleys etc - cheap as chips, decent quality - just need to wait for it! Can't fault them

read the description, read it again, read the terms twice, then email them to confirm the description and terms.

I asked for 3 curtain pole sets, at 300mm long each......

they sent me 1 curtain pole set with 3 poles 300mm long total.

and I paid £80 for that.

also note that some delivery charges are a rip off.

Dicey, but a man in search of a bargain must be willing to risk much! Got all sorts of weird converters and risers from there (same people charged more on the Bay of E); most worked as expected.

A friend of mine is always buying fake sun glasses and trainers off there, takes anything between a week and a month to turn up. Personally I've ordered certain electrical items and have had no issues either aside from the month wait and the fear of "what if I have to send it back"

My gf been using Aliexpress for more than 2 years, only had 1 issue when a box of towels (10 piece) never arrived, a loss of grand £10 which were refunded couple weeks later. Thinking about getting a Mi5 off there around Xmas, if my Xperia SP doesn't find it's way out before that (I mean before I will literally throw it in the lake, piece of lagging dung)

I have used Aliexpress for a couple of years as well with no real problems, sure stuff takes time to arrive but I tend to forget about it now, everything I have ordered has arrived and the problems I have had did get sorted with the sellers quickly. I tend to check seller reviews before buying anything.

I use fast tech and gearbest to get my vape stuff. Been good so far. Just have to make sure it says authentic to get proper parts not clones if i want a genuine one.
