Guys, started to drink water in larger quantities as i have never done this before. I have changed my diet so need to drink plenty of water in a day.

I read so much about how harmful tap water is but is it really?

Buying water can be expensive and then, who knows how good it is anyway?

So, should i boil the water and use a Brita Filter?

What do you do? Ta

If you're completely retarded then yes, buy bottled water. Alternatively, drink it free from the tap. There is nothing wrong with it in this country.

I drink only pancake.

Seriously, it's the UK, not India. Where in the UK would it be unwise to drink tap water? Filtered water just seems pretentious to me, sorry.

Its fine, drink away.

Depending on where you live some people might recommend a water filter to take away some of the hardness and a few other bits and bobs that loons would think is put in to control the mind by the water companies.

Where did you read about tap water being harmful?
Is it as a reliable source as the other books you tend to reference
If you can trust the source then avoid water. Given history with sources, I'd say that your water is fine to drink, like virtually all the tap water in the country.

-edit your suggestion of boiling the water then filtering it is somewhat hilarious also considering the previous complaint of water being expensive to purchase, would someone else pay for the electricity to boil all the water you use and filter?

Tap water. There are way to many fallacies and conspiracy theories about tap water that are just plain wrong. Cheaper and far more environmentally friendly.

If it tastes nasty then get a Brita filter and run it through that first.

Bottled water. Not because I don't want to drink tap water, just because tap water isn't carbonated and I like a nice lime cordial with fizzy water.

I have no issues drinking from the tap, but my partner purchased a brita filter thing when we moved into our house in May. Personally I can't really tell the difference/bothered by it - only reason I prefer using the filter thing is because we keep it in the fridge so it's always a lot colder than from the tap!

Tap.

But we also drink a lot of bottled sparkling water as an alternative to fizzy drinks for the kids.

Tap......TAP.....What kind of low peasantry! :p

Filtered water from the fridge, can definitely taste the difference compared to straight out the tap. Do however live in an area with fairly hard water.

Tap but it comes through a filter on the fridge.

I know someone who used to buy the huge bottles of Evian to wash with. Some people are a whole other level of crazy.

Lincolnshire. The worst tap water in the UK. It comes out the tap practically solid. If you exclusively drink tap water in this county, you are a fool.

The key to the safe drinking of water, no matter where you are in the world, is to vary your source of water. Never drink from one source of water. There may be stuff in the water that is not good for you. The water may be lacking something you need. It might be high in a particular mineral, zinc is a common one. Drink too much zinc for 10 years and you'll know about it later in life (or rather you won't because your brain will be mush)

Drink bottled water from a variety of places, including your tap. This is what every animal on the planet does and it is what humans have done throughout evolution.
