What causes the water to appear milky or cloudy?
Sometimes water can appear milky or cloudy if it contains tiny bubbles of air. If water is run into a glass they disappear if left standing for a minute or so, clearing from the bottom upwards as the bubbles rise to the top.
Air can enter the water from the mains, or it can be drawn through a faulty plumbing fitting in the home such as a loose tap gland. The air is dissolved under pressure and released as millions of tiny bubbles when the tap is run. Sometimes you can cure the problem simply by tightening a tap gland nut. In all cases the air is totally harmless.
Bottle it from the tap. put it in the back of the fridge where its nice and cold.
All i drink is water. Don't mind tap water if i have ran out of bottled water at work but i would pick bottled water over tap water.
Which makes me ask why?
Chesterfield water aint great tasting. I prefer the Buxton bottled water over anything.
I always have people telling me "they all taste the same", no.... They really don't.
A timely thread
I always use tap water, however last night our water pressure dropped massively; when I turned the tap on it was like 3 taps were already running, when they were not.
Today it's back to normal but our water is very cloudy. Even with the taps and hose running for an hour hasn't cleared it up.
I'll be dropping by the supermarket later for some bottles of water.
:: EDIT ::
A quick Google shows I should be okay![]()
