The high court has been told that article 50 won't be invoked in 2016 by Jason Coppel QC, acting as counsel for the government. Now unless you know different..?

You said late 2017 he says not in 2016 lol

Ill informed platypus "Despite saying that I need to read up on the process you don't even appear to know something as basic as Teresa May saying she won't consider starting Article 50 until late 2017. So when I say nothing really appears to be happening, I would have thought it's fairly obvious what I was referring too."

Just lol :D

Yes, Leavers aren't silly enough to think the outcome of Brexit can even be remotely gauged just a few weeks in.

Source?

My emphirical evidence points to the contrary for a high proportion of the leavers I have spoken to.

Go home notices, increase in racial tensions, statements like "I thought they were closing the borders" etc etc Loads of evidence that many leavers are silly enough to think it would be all done and dusted by now with the polish section in tesco now being used for pork pies and warm beer.

You're right I did, apologies for the late.

So to my original point, which you don't seem to be able to refute/cope with? What exactly is happening. Since you're so well informed, please I beg you - inform those of us who aren't.

You might dislike the Guardian - I'm not a huge fan myself - but claiming it as a poor source then linking something that cites court action is a pretty poor attempt. 2/10.

Didn't immediate post referendum polls show increasing swing to favour In?

I am not going to trudge through google, there was a few polls around the date of just after the referendum

your point dosen't make sense though, negotiations are two years, if they issue it in 2017 early or late how is it going to effect GE in 2020, it'll be done and dusted.
even if they issued it in 2019 then its issued, and be limited on what GE could do to reverse it.

Seems relevant ...

or click bait, democracy has not and never should be public opinion overalls everything, we would be in a far worse state than we are now if that was true.
of course government isnt always right, but they are generally better palced to decide than the public, thats what our entire democracy is based on.
way to improve it is where possible, take a much more scientific approach, rather than firing scientifc advisers when research shows the opposite of what goverment want.

need a much stronger and scientific based constitution that limits what government can and cant fo.

problem is i think since the last election most people now immediately think
lolpollsters or just lolsters, so its going to take a poll where they predict something fairly unanimously and accurately to make people take them seriously again.

The trouble is by trying to score points he's blown it all out of proportion. Read what I put - I made a throw away comment that nothing appears to be happening, which he's then jumped on and carried on trying to one up.

Do you want me to go back and edit it to put a smiley in? Would that make it easier for everyone?

Apology accepted - although claiming you added 'late' by mistake doesnt add up as I had already stated no A50 in 2016. ;):D

I've already covered what has happened since the referendum in an earlier post.

Im not claiming the guardian is wrong I just dislike it but it's apparently the only acceptable news source on here.

As for the 2/10 just lol

This smacks of making up anecdotes designed to reassure yourself.

Polish people I know on a personal level have had "hate mail" through their letter boxes around Rugby. Also a couple of garden sheds were burnt down with graffiti sprayed nearby to the tune of "go home", "polish not wanted" and the like.

Not saying who you quoted isn't making things up, this is my own experience of the increase in racial hatred/xenophoibc behaviour since the out vote.
