No it's pretty low spec especially for that money. Try the general hardware sub forum and ask what spec you can get for ~£800.

Yeah, afraid it is a bit of a wet fish.

The CPU and GPU aren't great. Maybe consider an i3, as it allows you an i5/i7 upgrade in the future. The 960 is slow old tech, which is never a good combo.

Saying that, if you have to get a monitor and OS, your budget does rapidly decline for a whole rig.

If you don't need storage I would swap out the HDD for a budget 256gb SDD.

Depending on the price youre paying for the case, you could save yourself 20 and get a better brand while youre at it.

I edited it a bit for you

You said your budget was under £800 so have accommodated that.

Bear in mind it doesn't have a CD/DVD drive although most games have online content these days.

I upped the CPU to an i5, better graphics card and stuck an SSD in there instead of a mechanical drive. This should play a lot decently. Not necessarily at the highest specs but this isn't a 3 grand gaming beast either :)

Hope that helps!

if there is no dvd drive how will I install an os onto it but this does look good so thanks!

You can get OS's on USB stick these days. You can even build one yourself if you have a USB stick :)

Microsoft has an official guide to it. Quick google should help find it!

yeah that is an issue

You need to go low end i3, 970 and a cheap 256gb SSD (although you'd save a bit with the 1Tb HDD, you will thank us once you experience SSD speed :))

You can select win 10, and have approx. £100 for monitor and peripherals (you can upgrade them later).

EDIT - if you are OK with installing an OS - you can always pick yourself up a cheap copy of windows 7 from ebay (high feedback), and upgrade to win10.
