Sometimes get the stunt planes practising around here. but probably not at night

Some of the last few nights there have been fast jets and a tanker up flying east to west and back on some kind of patrol - the tanker can be seen on flightradar.

Yep same, Gloucestershire Police said it wasn't them doing patrols but as they've had lots of reports they are checking with the military. Test of some emergency night time procedure possibly?

If it's the A400, then yes they are bloody loud. We get them here quite regularly from Brize Norton, often into the evening.

A330-243MRT think out of Brize Norton and a bunch of QRA planes (probably Typhoons) if it is what I'm thinking dunno about the A400.

The past few nights there is a very loud plane that keeps flying over every 5 to 30 minutes. I feel like I'm living in Syria, nothing is showing on flight radar. It's starting to make me feel sick and disturbing my son. Anyone else in Gloucester hearing it or know what is going on?

They may be secretly testing a new way of taking your rubbish and emptying your wheelie bin in the early hours in stealth, 5am ish

I guess you guys are right I'm being a drama queen being in a new flight path of military transport aircraft that's disturbing me and my family (and half of Gloucester) from midnight for hours.

Try living next to an army garrison where they dont care what time it is to go cruising around in a chinook!

It's not normal for RAF aircraft to fly low enough to disturb over populated areas at night.

They're obviously doing something important and not just out for a jolly so suck it up.
