Hey guys,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for some good open back headphones? I've been looking into the Audio-Technica ATH-AD500X but tbh they're kinda just out of my price range, I'm looking to spend at the absolute most is around £70 and the Audio-Technica ATH-AD500X's are lowest i've seen £100+ i would love those headphones as a friend has them and they're so comfortable and light and your ear's don't sweat after long use but i can't seem to find any that are considered as similar for my price range, but they have to back the same kinda headphone, i don't want my ears squashed or sweating after long use.

Thanks in advance :)

didnt know you could get them for £70

I very much doubt they can be had for £70, unless bought second hand. They have been discontinued in the UK, but I think can be had as a Japanese import. Not cheap though. There's a pair on the US jungle site for $235.

Superlux are a decent low budget option.

There's AKG K612 for £85 if you can stretch the extra £15, otherwise is not much choice of open headphones below £100.

Superlux HD 681

Uses same earpads as AKG if you want to swap them about

These might work as a cheap alt until i can save afew more bucks for some expensive ones.

Do you know if these ones sit on or around your ears? Just i do like i the look of these ones but they also look like they sit on your ears which might hurt over long periods.

They are over ear. From what I've read AKG's full size headphones are very comfortable.
