Wenger says we don't need a striker we have Akpom and sanogol...

Would be happy with Draxler. Mustafi is just a meh... Other links I think I would rather hope our injured players return.

Draxler I'm not sure I rate too much, he's another Mata like player where he's not really quite a winger, he's a bit lightweight and inconsistent and he's not really prolific enough to be a no.10 and definitely isn't a striker. We have a billion wide/central attacking midfielders. I think Draxler has potential but I'm not sure he's a genuinely great player for the seeming price he'd go for. We need an out and out striker, Akpom has shown extremely little so far, Giroud and Welbeck aren't good enough. Wenger fails because he's unwilling to say, it's not about numbers, we can do better than Giroud so we should sell Giroud and buy a better striker.

He doesn't quit on a players, which if leagues were won by shows of loyalty would be great, but Arsenal fans spend a hell of a lot and are the reason the club has the money it does, when we can get much better players and have a better team for the money we put in, being loyal and giving huge wages to average players is being disloyal to the fans.

Walcott, Ox, Giroud, Welbeck, Gibbs, Gabriel should all be out and replacements for each brought in. Mert well, can't sell an injured player but we should be replacing him also.

I've always said I'd keep Giroud as he offers something different from the way I see our attack looking (ie based around a pacey finisher who can get in behind) and his link up play can be awesome bringing the midfield into the game. Gabriel I'm not quite ready to write off just yet, I'm getting pretty close though.

The rest of them can go, and should have gone this summer.

Heh.

Bailley is still young, Jones is a crock. Blind has been alright but no harm bringing in someone experienced in case either Smalling or Bailley are out.

PSV pull out of race to sign €25m Man Utd target eyed by Jose Mourinho

PSV have pulled out of the race to sign Galatasaray star Bruma according to Futbol Arena.

Per the source, PSV had been actively pursuing Bruma over the transfer window but Galatasaray rejected the Dutch giants €7.5 million bid.

PSV sporting director Marcel Brands revealed that the club is no longer in the race to sign the 21-year-old.

Galatasaray are determined to keep hold of the Portugal international winger a source close to the club told Turkish-football.com and they value the young winger as being worth €25 million.

Manchester United are also interested in Bruma and Jose Mourinho has ordered his scouts to keep tabs on the youngster since the friendly they played against Galatasaray during the pre-season – which ended in a 5-2 victory to the Red Devils.

If we do need a defender it's someone who doesn't want to play much. Bailly has started great and Smalling was obviously fantastic last season and Blind has done well there so far unless Mourinho still sees his position somewhere else on the pitch. Honestly a right back should be more of a priority if Mourinho doesn't like Darmian.

Remember Bailly will be at the ACoN for 6 weeks or whatever in Jan / Feb so with one injury in that period Utd would be completely ****** without playing a youngster.

Edit - the other issue (Im not sure how true this is) but there is meant to be pressure on Mourinho to sell major players before buying big again. Fonte should cost under £10m with one season left on his contract, which is roughly what Utd got for the Sunderland sales. IF Mourinho is really after Fabinho @ RB , he is likely to cost double / three times as much (and probably higher wages and a longer contract). With only a week or so left in the window surely the latter is a much harder deal to get across the line , IF more sales have to be completed first.

So ermm Asano, the Japanese player we signed a few mths back has been refused a work permit lol.

Also even more confusing is Campbell being sent out on loan to sporting Lisbon for the season. Confusing in that he did well last season, well the games he played in. I don't get why Wenger has sent him out on loan yet again. If Wenger had half a brain, he would at least give him some games. I'd have given him more game time than Walcott.

Maybe he has an £80m signing on the way in...

To be honest we have too much competition in those areas. Bit of a surprise but when you look at the number of people he looks like he favours Walcott over Campbell, much easier conversation to loan out Campbell than Walcott.

True but instead of Campbell perhaps Walcott could do with a loan spell...jus sayin lol.

It's been 10 yrs since Walcott has joined us, and still he hasn't achieved his full potential and I don't think he ever will.

Personally I don't know why Wenger persists with him.
