*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

I've just cancelled my pre-order after seeing this:

Only been about 4 years in the making lol! - finally getting there. Don't want to invest so much into a handheld that will be worth nothing (in typical samsung style) within a year.

1. you don't know when in 2017
2. Do you want to be an early adopter?
3. You might not like the look of the phone.

Some the videos the Note 7 looks reasonably nippy, in others I am sure my Note 5 is both quicker and smoother :(
That plus the xda review and duel edge design means I am sitting this one out. Still looks nice though :p

4. You would probably be looking well into 4 figures for a flexible phone too, as you can guarantee they would launch with a standard and/or standard Edge model at the current prices too.

I don't care how good a phone is, I would never pay £600-700+ for something that's designed to last for just over 2 years.

The earlier test which started the term Scratchgate had a moh of 3 which meant it would have been scratched by metal. It showed it had a hardness next to plastic which then made it flexible. However according to the later vid this looks not the case now.

Tempted by a Vodafone deal on this - 6GB data, unlimited texts/minutes @ £59 upfront and £42pm. I've heard little about Vodafone apart from poor customer service, particularly when trying to cancel...

Currently on Three sim only with my old Note 3 - £11pm with 2GB data, 200mins and unlimited texts.

I'd say hold for another week and see what happens to prices once it's released as I've been told by Vodafone retentions that it's getting 20% cheaper. In any case, even if it doesn't I don't think it will get more expensive!

I'll upgrade if I can get it for less than £850 total, otherwise sticking to note4. Played with one in store and really couldnt feel much difference. I could use the waterproof and better camera for hiking trips but other than that I'm not entirely sold.

Thanks - I'll hold on for a while longer
