*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

Just more fanboy "unreal world" performance and quite meaningless.

That is just laughable, what would you consider "real world" if not opening an app, using an app, opening another app, using the app, opening an app, using the app ad infinitum. As I am pretty sure that is how we all use our smartphones. I agree it doesn't give a full picture as there any many other things which should also be considered like screen, battery, apps, storage, cost etc. However to say that a test to demonstrate optimisation is "unreal world" or its performance is meaningless is being just as big of a fan boy as you're accusing that video of being.

Let's not get a full on hard on over the iPhone's performance here. Where the iPhone really excels is opening up big games, render vids because it has faster storage and the note probably has bigger game files to load because it has a screen with nearly 4 times the amount of pixels. If it were just apps like system apps and social media etc it would be a tie or possibly faster. And actual game play frame rate is fine it's just the game loading time is a bit longer.

Now compare screen and camera differences, phone charging speeds etc, those are things people will appreciate the Note over the iPhone.

My original link says it's not just loading screens, scrolling has lag, typing has lag.... there are reports of it having lots of lag everywhere...

you guys are checking reviews before buying this right?

I've come from years of iphones to a S7 Edge, whilst there is some lag very occasionally, the positives of both the OLED screen and the amazing way android is so much more open to let you do whatever you like, it makes it so much easier to do things!, I don't think I will ever go back to an iphone.

I had a play on a Note 7 today for a while in Carphone warehouse, it was really smooth, just as smooth as my s7 edge.

When I played with blue and black notes in Samsung shop neither had lag... I cleared ram then opened loads of apps , camera etc used s-pen features swapped back odd bit of tiny lag once but nothing compared to my Note 3 sometimes :p

Has anyone reviewed the Exynos version yet ? ..

p.s MobileFun posted screen protector out .. I'll just stare at it for next week without a phone :(

If its a complete car crash it can be returned under DSR.

I've given my wife my 128Gb iPhone 6S Plus, her 128Gb iPhone 6 Plus went to my mum. I'm definitely not buying this due to being an Android fanboy but I find the Nexus 6P, which I bought in the meantime, to provide a better experience than iOS.

If the Note 7 disappoints, I can always get an iPhone 7, or the next Nexus. Whatever.

I phoned the CPW store that I pre ordered mine from earlier tonight and was told the 30th too, despite being told the 13th Sept when I ordered.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be a shambles of a launch for CPW with the mixed messages :(

Nothing yet for Samsung pre-orders and delays already being reported (XDA):

Three pre-orders have go up to the 20th September now!

I see on CPW they have now updated the delivery date as 09 Sept, just double checked my email confirmation and it clearly states expected delivery date of 31st Aug, hope it hasn't been bumped back.

Edit - just spoke to CPW on chat who confirmed those who ordered already will get it on 31st as per the email confirmation, its only new order that will get it on 9th Sept.
